That looks like a Wooly Bugger that has caught several fish! Looks pretty easy to tie! Guess they have some skinny little leeches in Chicago ! If it produces fish , I would use it !!!:

I will tie you a bunch in the fall or winter months. Right now , I have been so busy that I cannot find time to tie myself some. ( I still have a lot of HH to catch up on , And a lot of new ideas bouncing around upstairs ) But I could show you in just a few minutes how to tie them yourself. Nothing more gratifying than catching some fish on a fly that you have tied yourself !!! And a great way to kill time if you have a bunch of it on your hands.
Either give a Man a fish , Or TEACH him to fish ???![]()

Looks just like a black, Mohair leech. We fished with the same thing growing up in UT. We used black and brown.....but we called them Mohair leeches. Great flies!
