For the response, absolutely. The buck stops with him, and he has a lot to answer for. I just object to seeing the blowout itself blamed on him, when it happened because of a pattern of behavior that's been going on for decades. If I may put my two cents in again.
Limbaugh put libs to the front of the line when they in and just let them have at it.
When Katrina hit the Gulf coast they blamed Bush for blowing up the damns and for bringing Katrina to New Orleans.
When the WTC was hit they blamed Bush for that too. Also stating he was a cowboy going in too fast with guns blazing. Fact is Bush didn't go in until after Sadam refused to act properly on the 13 UN resolutions that were pasted. Not saying Bush was perfect, he made mistakes too but seriously now.
Obama has said from the get go he and his team have been on the ground since day one of this spill and they have been in control. Weird thing is though, he's been playing golf, on vacation and going to concerts. Not to mention the refusing of the help, not giving the go ahead for the burn off and now trying to shut down ALL drilling underwater. Really now, Obama can't be blamed for any of it?
I completely AGREE...the blowout was caused by BP and ONLY BP. They have more safety violations than all other drilling companies combined.
BUT Obama owned the response and with that regard........he has dropped the ball, and probably caused irreparable damage to the gulf coast. Obama will be blamed FOREVER for that.
Later,
Geo
