    Re: vizio flat panel television

I know several people who have them and really like them. I did some research a few months ago and found that if I was to buy one it would be a Panasonic. Their specs were alot better but it does cost more. Some sets come with more ports than others for interfacing with equipment.

The picture is great on most sets if you have a great input signal like blueray but the little things like contrast of colors and clean video on fast moving scenes can be noticed if your really into the performance end.
We buy them for our video conferencing projects and they work fine but like I mentioned the use is the key.

I know I didn't help any but talking to some guys at Best Buy on the contrast ratios, refresh rates and all that jargon helps alot...heck you would be an expert in 30 minutes!

    Good luck!

Yea, I'm gonna get one with 120hz and a good pixel number ect. I was really concerned with quality and how they held up. Most all of them out there only have a one year warranty anyway.

    Thanks Don for the input.

Vizio makes excellent bang for the buck TVs.

More info in the links below about TVs than you can read. If you have the model # of the Vizio TV you interestsed in I'm sure there is a thread about it here. They have a guide to help you choose what features, size....... you might need.

Also you can usally buy a extended warranty from where you purchased the TV from or the TV manufacturer themselves might offer a extended plan at a reasonable rate and last but not least is a warranty thru Squaretrade that are usually fairly cheap and people seem to really like their serivice.

One of the reasons I would like to go with them. I'm doing everything in my power to quit buying foreign goods.

    Re: vizio flat panel television

I have had a 42" one for a couple of years. I have no complaints, although I will say that I'm not the pickiest person when it comes to picture quality. I don't even have an HD TV package from my satellite company.
