I think in this case, the big three see a way to compete for mulitple championships and that seems to be the driving force behind them all staying together.
Why didn't LeBron let the Cavs use him for a trade? Can that be done once your a free agent? You know talk with the owner and say I'm leaving but I'll work with you so you can get something since you have been so good to me...something along those lines.
I'm asking cause I don't know....seems like if he could have given the Cavs some love he should have.

He could have asked for a sign and trade deal, but with the money the Cavs would have had to pay him, nobody would be able to trade for him and take over that contract.

As far as giving the Cavs some love, he more than fulfilled his obligation to them they never went out and got him any help. He single handedly took them to the NBA Finals without another NBA all-star selection on the roster. He put more fans in the seats and generated more money for the Cavs than at any other time in their existence.

Lol I thought that's what Shaq was! Speaking of him I wonder how he feels? Guess he has to find another team's back to ride into the sunset with....

Heard on ESPN that with Lebron's departure the actual value of the Cavs dropped $100 million. No wonder the owner was pissed and lashed out the way he did lol!

Re: Lebron James to the Miami Heat

Jesse Jackson is an IDIOT, what has he EVER done!!!!

If Lebron is such a quitter and loser, basically what the Cavs Owner said he was, then why was he so pissed that he left Cleveland? If I had a star player that was SO BAD, then I would happily trade him or let him go to free agency. Lebron said that the owners true colors are showing, which makes me think the owner has many skeletons in his closet in regards to Lebron.

As far as Lebron picking the Heat: the Cavs were going no where but backwards and had no salary cap room to sign anyone of any talent, the Knicks just OVERPAID Stoudamire $100M and their best player (plus one that is very underrated) David Lee took a deal with the Warriors so they have nobody to help James, the Bulls have the best talent but they also have the ghost of Michael Jordan and all of his championships, who would want to go play in Chicago who wears #23 who has been compared to Jordan for so many years, the Clippers - well it is the Clippers in a city that is owned by KOBE and all of his rings, the Nets - well it is the Nets - enough said, so by process of elimination the Heat were the only team left.

I do think the Big 3 will win championships but it won't be exactly easy for them because Chicago is right on their heels with Rose, Noah, Boozer, Dang and such plus the Knicks in 2012 are going to go after Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony HARD. Paul, Anthony and Stoudamire are not the same as the Big 3 but still is a pretty good team. Plus the Celtics are not dead just yet but they only have a couple of years left before that window closes when Allen and Garnett both are well past their prime. But until the Heat get a TRUE POINT GUARD and some consistent outside shooting they won't be at their best so the chances of them winning it all are not as good as they could be YET.

It is funny that I saw on ESPN roundtable discussion about the Heat and a couple of guys said that James and Wade were the 2 best players in the league?????? They must have been talking about the Eastern Conference League, and even then Dwight Howard has something to say about that, becasue if they are talking about the NBA there is a fella out west named Kobe Bryant that is CERTAINLY either #1 or #2 in the league and only Lebron should be in that discussion.

Re: Lebron James to the Miami Heat

Agreed Kobe is the best player hands down. He even has rings to back that up!
I know some people don't agree but I think that James should have let the Cavs know (if he himself knew) that he was leaving. Would have been nice for the Cavs to have the opportunity to wheel and deal for another good player instead of being left with a bunch of James merchandise.
