    Smile Good ole daze?

took a trip back to my youth. Rental boat, manual start engine, no electronics, sculling paddle, and 90 degree heat. Add winds that were near steady at 10MPH,gusts to 20. Did I like it? NO! Add a short anchor rope, and a grandson who hardly ever fishes. Sounds great yes? We were in the golf capitol of TN, and I was child sitting, but he wanted to go fishing, so we did.Days total 1 small channel cat, 4 small LMB, ! yellow perch, and about 30 red ears, and 20 gills[some were nice size]. found out later I could have brought my own boat, paid for an acess stamp. and 10 bucks for a daily slip.Sopmetimes being a grand dad is a job!

It could have been worse. You could have been out in 90 degree heat in goofy golf pants chasing a white ball around. (YAWN). I would much rather be fishing.

I only golfed one time in my life....about a year and a half ago. It was all paid for, green fee's, clubs, beer, etc or I would have never done it. I lost a pair of prescription sun glasses somewhere along the way on the deal.

I tried it also, read a lot about it, and was ready. After I got my fingers all tangled up like they daid, I adressed the ball. Hole 1 hit it and walked all that way to see it wasn't there yet. Repeated it all over again put hole 2 on the ball and smakwed the snot out of it. walked all that way, and no ball.Sold the clubs, used the shoes for my lawn.
