Blue Catfish Ohio River Wednesday Night

Some friends and I went fishing last night on the Ohio, we caught a 37" 20 lb blue. For some reason the fish smelled like sewage???? Any suggestion as to what could have caused this? (for the record, we are not amatuers and we have caught over 200 cats this summer, just curious as to what could have made this one smell awful)

I know that this is not the answer, but it could be a factor - whenever we have a lot of rain that causes "high water", MSD seems to be allowed to let hundreds of thousands of gallons of run off water and raw sewage to drain straight into the river. You catch that??? Raw sewage. I know, I know - if MSD doesn't do that, where is it going to go?!?!? Good question...if someone can figure out a solution, they would be a millionare over night.

One would think the EPA would be all over this, but they simply turn a stinky...I mean blind eye to it. I love to fish the OH River, but you will never see me eating something that came out of it.
