I was out there Saturday morning too. Great morning. That front kept it dark and we caught them on a buzz bait until 11.

Went to nolin this weekend with my son, he`d never fished too much, so we got down there friday night,,went just around the corner and has i figured,,,jumps every where!,,we caught whites and bass,,even with a few big gills. He had a ball with a POP-R. I was useing a spook pup till they tore the front hooks plum out.
But saturday morning at daylight down by Piney creek they came up by the acres!,,big whites and bass,,large and alot of big KY`s,,they stayed up for 3 hours till the boats got bad,,but limited out on whites and ky`s,,had a big fish fry!
But sunday morning nothing came up nowhere,,,boats and cold front i bet,,,,but was a great weekend with my son and soon to be grand kids in law,,,LOL

well i wiah i had taking my camera out and video taped them,,it was a sight saturday morning,,,
There wasn't anything happening till about 0830, then the bass went nuts. No white bass, just Kys, they wouldn't hit anything except that pop R. Fished dog creek.
I saw a jump a few weeks back that happened right as a storm was pushing in that was flat out AMAZING!!! It encompassed the entire bay I was in and lasted for nearly 30 min! Pretty cool stuff.

the most awe inspiring one I ever saw was at the mouth of guffy creek on cumberland, a school of stripers came up rhar was in the neighbor hood of 100yds square.I flipped an AC shiner out there, and was spooled in juist seconds. That was a few years back, when big stripes were common.
That reminds me of a striper jump I saw at cumberland lake two years ago...back before I owned a boat. It was in October, and I had spent all day fly fishing below the dam. On my way home, I swung into the ramp there at the dam just to look out over the lake.....when I did, I saw the LARGEST jump I have ever seen taking place just a few hundred yards off the bank. The thing was massive...looked bigger than a football field, and the fish just kept exploding FOREVER!!! It made me isane watching that and not being able to fish it, lol. I contemplated swimming out to it with my rod in hand...that's how awesome it was! lol!the most awe inspiring one I ever saw was at the mouth of guffy creek on cumberland, a school of stripers came up rhar was in the neighbor hood of 100yds square.I flipped an AC shiner out there, and was spooled in juist seconds.
