Its amazing Chubs. I hear 4 coastal states are in emergency mode now preparing for it. We hear that there is a good chance it will run smack into Nova Scotia up here in Canada. Batten down the hatches to all you folks on the coast over the next few days cuz Earl is acoming!

I have very good reason to be concerned about Hurricane Earl; my Sweetie Pie is working near the Atlantic Ocean. I talked to him this afternoon and he said all they could do was bend over, hold onto their ankles, and roll with the storm. He is housed in a hotel so I hope he can find a hole to crawl into and hide.

Looks like my coworkers may be flying to the Carolinas to help evacuate Hospitals before the storm reaches land...

No because a huge chemical plant is involved and if there is any damage, he has to be onsite. He is a Sr Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist and is there by special demand er...request of the CEO.

Hey Bugs, how did your Sweetie Pie make it through the storm? I dont know what state he is in but Earl is scheduled to hit Nova Scotia tomorrow morning so he must be nearly finished with the eastern seaboard states. I hope there wasnt any damage to where your hubby was? I am not getting alot of info as yet on how Earl affected the States yet.

I talked to him last night and he said they got some rain but not enough to cause any major flooding. The hurricane was moving rather fast at 17 mph when it came up the shoreline. It came by at high tide and kicked up waves 8-14 ft but everything settled down and the sun was out by late afternoon.
