Guess not, lol. I figured it has been tough for hybrids lately. Hopefully they will pick up here soon for some HOT fall fishing!

Anybody finding any hybrids on either Rough or Barren? If so, with what tactics? Thanks.

found some at sympson![]()
what is the water level like at Sympson? Can you still get a Bass boat in there?
It's getting low but you can still get a bass boat in. Yesterday they was a cabin cruiser out there fishing. The launch area is about 1.8-2 ft deep so keep your motor up.
Still curious....thinking about giving them a try. Thanks.

Well rich,,you should come up here and let me take you to the river,,been catching alot of 5-10lb fish,,,and don`t really have to look to hard to find them
I,ve been to rough the last two weekends. Found hybrids by accident fishing for largemouth two weeks age and they were still there this past weekend. They were suspended under bait. Dropped one of those large bass jigging spoons through them and caught as many as I wanted. I was fishing a channel point about 400 feet off shore for bass and moved out into the channel when I found them.
Did some crapie fishing at rough yesterday and seen some schools of shad get busted up but i cant say it was either stripers or bass.
We caught 4 crappie about 14" long..
Thinking of trying to river on Sunday afternoon. Are you catching the hybrids during daylight or exclusively at night?
been catching them either in the morning like at daylight till the sun gets up or late evening till a couple of hours after dark,,,it all depends on water level, ect,,it`s all hit or miss,,,,the good striper fishing is still to come,,come on oct-dec
I'm pretty green at river fishing. I take it the good fishing is concentrated below the dam?
I don't want you to think I'm expecting a "How to River Fish for Dummies" written an autographed, but any tips would be both helpful and appreciated.
