Anything happening on the Ohio River?

I'm thinking about heading up to Markland on Saturday to jig a spoon. Anybody catching anything out of the mighty Ohio thse days?

Mcalpine dam area for me today..........zippo,nil,nada,skunked. But my mind wasn't into fishing. Justed wanted to keep restarting my fixed motor!

Chuck, even though I trust Doug's work, I didn't go downstream. Never threw the castnet nor tossed lures for skippies. My partner had some store-bought minnows, and we tipped a jig with them. Only spent about 2 hours on the river because the launch was on my way home back from Doug's and Knute wanted to try it today.

I caught one keeper sauger and 2 drum around 10lbs a piece above Meldahl dam on Tuesday jigging a blade bait at mouth of creeks.

Chuck I caught a ton of skips using small crappie twister tails in white. Nothing on sabiki rigs. Seems like the small twister tails are working a lot better so far this fall for me. To bad the stripes weren't hungry.
