Best Rod Under $175???

Well the holidays are just around the corner and I see lots of talk on here about rods and reels. I am looking for a new rod to add to the locker. I am looking for the best rod for under $175. Bass Pro has me sold on the Shimano Crucial...but I wanted to check with my people first. Any help is appreciated!

Got a couple of cane poles in the garage for sale at the right price, or could point you in the right direction to cut you own. Last I knew they were free for the cutting.....so the price is a bit lower than a Shimano! LOL, just kidding, but I do know a place to cut some cane rods,.....did that for both my grandchildren.....brings back memories of my childhood on the creek.

I enjoy a good cane rod. I find it a little difficult to throw cranks, spinners, lipless, and long cast with jigs, shakies, and texas!
