I am still kicking. Pretty depressed for a couple of weeks but 2pm on Monday and I just decided it was time to get back with the living. I opened the curtains and mini blinds for the first time in a week, did a couple of loads of laundry, cooked a big pot of soup beans and cornbread and said it was time to start the mental healing process. Saw my surgeon Tuesday morning and he said the wound looked good with no infection so he sent me on my way and said to come back in a month unless something comes up. Had a very good day today for I spent it with my son and made a big pot of vegetable beef soup for supper. Hopefully my mental state will continue to get better day by day and my physical condition will do the same.

I am glad you are doing better even if we have not met I know dealing with a long term or chronic illness is hard on the heart and soul. and you did the right thing get up as much as you can look at Gods gifts to you. The waters and fish have always been central to all men in one way or another here we are blessed, We fish because we want to , while others must fish to survive. For a while now Our country and the world as a whole has had some bad times. I feel we are all healing in some way and with Christmas or some other holidays being right here to day, we have a chance to be with friends and with the new year around the corner we can take a pause and pray for all of those who need the medicine hope brings to us. I home you will be completely healthy soon and out there with your family and enjoy life.
