    Re: More Dale Fish.................no bigguns....

6's are pretty rare these days. Seem more rare than 5 years ago. I'd like to know an exact weight and see a picture. Not questioning for validation, but would just like to see it.

Most people (i.e. my profile picture is a 6lb 2oz) that catch one over 6 have a picture and know the specific weight like 6.1 or 6 lbs 2 ozs, etc. I'm sure you're an exception though. Was it over 21 inches?

That fish was probably 25+ years old.

Wow????. Man I hate to tell you this but FishinIs Life has caught enough to know if its over 6. I've seen pics of his smallie catches on Green posted on here many times. Amazing when others aren't catching them they still want to question the validity of those that do. It may suprise you to know that I caught, in Jan 2008 on lake cumberland, 2 over 6 and 1 over 5 pound largemouths and 2 smallies over 5 in one day.....all on floatnfly (by the way I know their exact weights just never posted them even when I posted this report 2 years ago). Hey FishinIsLife keep puttin up those good reports and don't let guys like this keep you and others from posting their successful trips. Those 6 pound smallie are there got one over 6 myself there (6-4 if you must know).

    Good fishin,

Couldn't figure out how to post pictures in this link so I'll post them on the photo board.....Didn't have digital scales so don't know an exact weight but it pulled down to 6 1/4.....the other fish in the picture was 19 3/4 just to give you a reference....also put a picture of the 5lb largie just in case you think we didn't catch one of those also....the smallmouth was 22"....no wonder elwood hated posting his catches

8^) I feel ya brother! ...on the posting pictures.

A friend of mine caught a 6 lb smallie that didn't reach 21"

That's a good fish! Where did you catch it...no specifics...upper end, mid or lower?

    Tim,
I don't post a lot so I'll give you a break. I do catch them. We had 45 or so in 3 days 12/27-12/30. Geofisher has already posted some details about how and where we caught them. The size was about a 3 lb average.

I certainly wasn't questioning the validity of a catch. I know they are there and as I said, my profile picture is 6 lbs 2 oz. This was part of a 23 fish day with 12 over 4 lbs 12 oz including 2 6+.

Also, no offense, but on Dale...Larry's don't count 8^) maybe they do on Cumberland...just kidd'n man. I just had to tease ya a little. Dale's got some nice spots too.

Also, there's a big different between bragg'n about size, numbers, etc. and a report. Most of what I see is not reports...which is why I don't post much.

My 2 cents...I'll go back to my closet now.

Dont' worry about giving me a break (just give the folks giving a report, oops sorry a bragging report a break?). Sounds like FishinIsLife took your remarks the same as everyone else here did. Glad you did clear up that you weren't questioning his catch? Questioning the size of his fish (Quote:"You don't know the exact size, where's the pics? etc..) just because you didn't catch a 6 pounder on this trip? I like hearing about catches (numbers and sizes) even without the details, gives you an idea of how the bite is. Anyway great catch FishinIsLife and this reminds me of Elwood gettin questioned about his catches.
Later guys and keep on posting your results as I will mine,

Do you have a picture of that fish hanging from the scale while also holding the tape measure up to it....it's responses like yours that make people not post on this board....I have no reason to stretch the truth or flat out lie....This is my first year fishing Dale apart from one trip last year and I've had some pretty good success....Not huge numbers but good overall size....I believe this was only our 3rd over in 4 trips but it was the first to weigh 6....All fish are being caught in KY waters nearly within sight of the state park ramp

I don't trust pictures can you send your scale for certification. I also need a picture ID and social security number.

Good stuff. That is very helpful info...there's some good fish up that way.

As I said in my first message, "Not questioning for validation, but would just like to see it." I meant no disrespect.

Tim ~ "Elwood situation" A yeah, I personally confronted the people that questioned his integrity. Not behind a keyboard. He's my boy! I've obviously been away too long....lost my street cred...lol.
