Fished DH thursday and friday. Thursday was pretty slow. Only caught 5 in the backs of creeks. Had several pull downs but only landed 5. All the bites came on pea gravel/mud banks but couldn't get a bite on larger rocks. 1 came on shiner the others on the fly. Friday was better, but we were expecting snow. Instead, it was cold and rainy. Caught 10 on the day, but most fish came on the larger rocks and not much in the gravel/mud. Almost all still back in the creeks and on the fly. Fish early came on 10 ft leader, but when the bite slowed switched to 14 ft and caught more fish.

did u put in at the state, might have spoke to you going down to the marina?

We were at horse creek. We left our shiners in the lake at night and they all died. That has never happened before even when it is colder. Any clue why that might have happened?

outside of something (fuel) in the water by your cage, or a small container for too many shiners?

Thanks for the report.....heading down in the morning to put in at the state dock.....Rick we look for ya every morning when we put in....we're usually going in right at daylight....it is legal for us to put in over by the houseboats isnt it?...

yes both ramps r used, inside ramp is just more idle area,
good luck, just came back from there, will not be on the boat tonight

Very cold and a little windy today....very poor trip overall....didn't manage to boat a smallmouth all day....had 2 largeheads....one 4 and one 3 1/2....didn't take but maybe 4 bites all day....water temperature only dropped one maybe two degrees, what in the world happened to the smallmouth
