    Re: Ole Miss

The update is that Harrellson went back to being the old Harrellson....and "Disapparius Miller" was back in the game....turnover city....flat as a pancake in the first half, mounted a nice comeback in the second half, and should have pulled it off. BUT, Warren makes an impossible shot with 3 seconds left to ice it.

We may not win another road game.

I'm just fairly uninspired with this team this year - Just hoping that they can pull off some kind of run in March.

Serious question for you two and other UK fans that might chime in. Did this team peak against U of L? I haven't watched all of the games, but it just seems they played very well aginst the Cards and have either become stagnant or maybe even back slid a little. I really thought they would run rough shod through the SEC. Like I said I don't watch all of their games so I could be wrong. I would like to hear your opinions.

I think every knows how to beat us....not play us but beat us. I dont think we can dance well with a 6 man rotation. We have Florida next.. Could be a repeat of last night.

The team did peak against UofL
Lamb has improved his game and is one of the smoothest players that I have seen in a while and he is the only player on the team that has improved, PERIOD. He should be starting over Liggins.

    Knight has stayed the same

Liggins is not the defensive stopper they say he is plus he drives too much into trouble and takes untimely shots from the outside

Harrelson played so far over his head early in the season that you are now seeing the guy that is just getting playing time in Big Time College games but he has Small College ability.

Jones goes from #3 in the NBA Draft to benched to all world to average. Stop him from going left down low on the blocks and you stop him plus he misses way too many easy shots.

Miller dissappears in the big moment and if there is anyone on the team that should have the experience to show up at that time it is him. He should be the LEADER of the team but he is not. He should be the Patterson of last year, quiet but deadly, but he is not.

These 6 are the team and that is another problem, Vargas and Hood do nothing but take up space and absolutely give nothing when they are in the game. Stacy Poole came in with some hype and I have played more than he has played. No bench at all and the top 6 fade down the stretch. Calipari has not coached this team well at all. 6 players and you want to press and play like they do at times is rediculous. Early in the year I would have said that Knight, Lamb and Jones was equal as a threesome to Wall, Bledsoe and Cousins at the same time last year. The difference is Cousins kept improving a TON, Wall kept improving as did Bledsoe. Other than Lamb this years threesome can't say the same.

I see a 5 or 6 seed in the NCAA (on reputation for it should be an 8 or 9 seed) and an early exit in the big dance for the Big Blue this year. Last year I picked them to win it all but this team won't even win the East in the SEC with road games still left at Florida and Tennessee and them losing 3 out of their last 4 road games the team flat out can't get it done. I would love to see this team with Enes playing in the middle and let Jones play the 4 like it needs to be played plus Lamb and Knight. It would be a whole other story, but NOT

    Re: Ole Miss

Its hard to win games anywhere with a 6 man rotation, and foul trouble. This team also seems that they are soft compared to all the UK teams before them. I have had no problems will Coach Cal since his arrival, but......can we call a play other than weave and somebody drive?????? I know that is the basis of the dribble drive offense, but there are times in games when we NEED a bucket, and the team on the floor looks lost. Tubby ball was slow and hard to watch at times, but you knew after a timeout, or dead ball, we would RUN A PLAY!!! No way should UK have lost to that team, I think they will be alright, and will have no problem making the tourney. But I think making the tourney is as far as it goes.

Not enough bodies plain and simple. Kentucky played way over their heads against Louisville they always and I mean always do. Hell they beat Louisville in 2005 when Louisville went to the final four and the Cards were a much better team than KY that year. Anyway I am shocked to see 13 and 8 Sec teams beating them though, very puzzling indeed. Second round and done unless they find some serious Mojo in March. Expectations were too high for this team anyway, look at what they lost, Calapari IS NOT going to put that on the floor every year Forget that right now.

Yep I agree. Getting Cal means alot of one and done kids. I wish they could redo the rules to keep college ball more consistant.

elwood pretty much hit the neail on the head. I think we have no business being ranked. If we were to go back to the Yum center right now, Pitino would hand us our A$$... With that said, maybe all these guys will **** so bad they decide to stay (none of em will get drafted anyways)... Then bring in next years recruiting class and add it to this class, and we may actually have a bench to go to and some players with a little experience on teh floor.

I have said it since day 1, Calipari will never win a national championship here as long as he goes for these one and done guys.... I wish teh NBA would just make a college degree a requiement to play...

I know it will be there, but I dont see any one and done talent this year. Jones maybe, but there will be a train wreck with the new talent next year coliding with the old talent from this year if Knight and Jones dont leave.
I am predicting a 6 seed and a 16 exit. Dont care what Paypal Cal says this years talent is not even close to last years.....

    GO CATS!!!!!!
