It`s Offical,,I`m gone

Well guys,it`s offical now for sure. I`m packin up and heading to Duluth Mn to start. I GOT to be crazy,it`s well 16above now,,was -2 this morning. But I don`t anything to keep me here,well all you guys that I`ve become friends with and worked for,,and naw you all ain`t worth it,,,LOL But have a lady friend thats letting me move in. I`ve been talking to some people and Guides up there, and eveybody has told me Ihave got a great set of plans on moving. 1st I`m packing my 6X14 ft cargo trailer I just bought new,loading up what I`m taking from my house and all my tools and a small work bench and when I`m ready to work,,going to use it for HAVE TRAILER WILL TRAVEL and go moble till i can find a bigger place with MervaJean. Her place isn`t big enought to park my boat and trailer.

2nd I`m flying back in April for the yearly trip to dale with my good friends and master farters, fisheater(john) Tim Tipton,,master beer drinker,Jason(bandit1) his son Auston(poor kid) and MervaJean. Have a nice last fishin trip to Dale. Show her around. Then I`ll drag my boat back north with me. My son owes me some money so I`m taking his good looking duelly and going home.

I`ve already have some work lined up,,and will start knocking on doors,,Get my foot in some resorts doors. I talked to a guide up there and talked about doing some guideing for resorts but I refrazed cause what Dave S told me..and I told the guide that I didn`t want to compete with the local guides ,that I wasnt to do lake orientaeion for resorts for their guest that are new to the country and area and not guide but TEACH them and show them around the lakes so they have a good start where and how to find and catch fish. Ok I hear you all sneckering,,,Shut up Tyme,,I hear you....LOL But it`ll be the same thing has I do down here doing river 101..always been told how much people learned. But going to really dig and work at this,,going to have a like of time on new waters and lakes learning them.

But if any of you all want to come north and try some great smallie fishing I would love to see you all. But I`m not going to really gone gone,,but a distance away,,I`ll still be on here harashing all of you. I know I`m going to miss the river,and the air and water quailty will go up. Wont have to see or smell my ugly azz. I`m giving up the river to Chuck and mark H..they will keep you all stright. But who knows,,I may be back,,may not,,would like to come back here in the winter and work,,that is always my busiest time. Passed to much work now. But God love you guys ,you all are the greatest and I`m going to miss you all

Dang Doug I about teared up....and then it donned on me I was thinkin about bein down wind from you in the boat LOL. Man I'm goin to miss your honory back side, hope all goes well with you up there and want to see some good pic's....of fish of course not you:P...You be careful and take your time, ice ain't nothin to play with. Let us know when you get up there and don't worry I'll take good care of our pet catfish while your gone. Good luck and be careful...Chuck

Doug, I hope everything up there goes great for you, and you get to live your dreams, guiding in the north, wish all of us could be lucky enough to do what we loved for a living...It was nice getting to know you, and fish with you, you showed me some places that I can use for years, and I do appreciate you doing that. Best of luck, and keep us updated on your progress, and when you are in town, so maybe we can get together and fish...

I guess I'll jump in here too. I met Doug about 2 years ago via his boat repair business. We've become great friends and chat a lot via Instant Message on AOL.

It was an absolute treat for me to fish with him, which we have done on the Ohio river on several occasions.

I was talking with Mark Hall today about how we now have to elect a new "Mr. Ugly" on this board that we can all poke fun of. Mark elected me!!
I was slightly offended until I looked in a mirror.

Back to the subject: We will all miss you,Doug, but we know you'll stay in touch with us thru fishin.com.

If your lady freind has a sister i can be out of here in a heart beat(lol) You will love living in Gods land.Never meet you but have been reading on here for a few years now.Good luck and if i ever get that far west of Mi i may pop in.
