The main reason that I think I catch as many or more than others do on this technique is that I am CONFIDENT that a 5lb Brownie is coming in on EVERY single cast. No matter if it is my number 1 spot, number 100 spot the best of conditions or worst of conditions. I know that I am going to catch them and that is that. I have been on the water from daylight to dark, not gotten a bite all day long or caught only a couple of small fish and then landed a 5 pounder just before dark. My buddy Hens says that I am the only dedicated idiotic fellas still out there still chucking the buggy whip after a full day of nothing to land a trophy just before sundown. I just know it is going to happen. If I only had this same type of confidence in all the ways that I fish but I don't. If I did they would call me KVD instead of that other fella.
