I am thinking on going to Green River on Thurs., Fri., Sat. and Sun. Could anyone please give me some tips on what to use and where to go this time of year ?
Thank You for Your Help,

Fished there sat. The fish are on the main lake, but not the points. They are in 8-10 feet on flats, close to the channel. Fish a crankbait that will dive at least that deep, it needs to be digging the bottom. Red, yellow, and black combo baits worked well for us. A lot of nice fish being caught now, but watch out, the toothy critters are on the prowl too!
For sure not the best time to go throw you're out of production favorite crankbait of all time....I haven't heard of a bass fisherman that hasn't caught atleast 1 a trip lately or had one break them off
If you fish on Saturday be prepared for heavy boat traffic. I know of 3 tournaments registered on the ky fish and wildlife site plus another tournament that is not registered. If I had to guess with all the tournaments, plus the regular traffic; I would say there will be over 100 boats trying to target similar areas...will be a mad house on the main lake.
I would go up into the river, not much traffic there. I would take a couple bud lites, sun glasses, sun screen and a nice looking lady in a bikini!OOPS, you were asking about fishing and I have no idea bout that on GR.
Anybody know the water conditions - color and temp - after the rain? Thanks.
With the rain we just had, the lake is on a very quick rise again. Right now it is 1.5 feet over summer pool and climbing fast. I'm not sure how much more it will go up before it peaks, but I would guess at least another foot, probably more.
