I saw some people catching stripes and he said he was using rattle traps but would not tell me what color size or how he was fishing them. Can any one give me some help here ? My son and i would love to try and catch some.
Thanks

I would try the small, 1/4 oz. size, depending on the water color, I'd use either chorme/black or chrome/blue. or something white, or bone. Anything that resembles a minnow should work. Those small hot spots, "mini-traps", will catch anything. I've caught crappie on them before... TR
I've had great luck with black and chrome rattle traps as well as strike king lipless cranks in chartruse shad and sexy shad. Just cast them out and bring in at a good speed. If you arent catch fish try a more erratic retrieve.
caught a 4 lb. lg. mouth on one this morning upper Nolin.
Wow Hay thanks folks
I just got back from the Dr. ( getting knee replacement surgery May5th) and my son and I are heeding out to find some baits and then off to rough. The water was stained like the lake was turning over yesterday just thought you guy's would like to know.
The crappie have moved back to the rocky ledges and points since the rain. I did not go to the creeks I was fishing from Axtel to the dam.
Luck to all be safe and remember some one at home loves us and wants us to come back home.
