    No one fishing the CR?

Annual trip coming up and my buddies still want to fish Cumberland River. Never been skunked down there in 20 some odd years, but this trip might do it? No one else fishing it tells me something. I'd just as soon pass yet I got some hard headed buddies. Wait til they see what 29,000s like. Haven't seen that since repair work on dam began.

We're still a go I'm just looking for some 4oz. jig heads. That ought to get me down fast just getting it back to the boat maybe trickie. We'll be down next weekend. Probably end up calling Boone on where to go on the lake. Gonna be fast.

People probably have tried fishing the CR lately, they just ended up somewhere in TN before they could wet their lines! Good luck up there, and BE SAFE!

Yeah what the heck I'm going for it. I know a bar in Nashville that has 10 cent long necks. Never fished above 19,000 and can't find any 4oz. jig heads.

Have a good fishing trip, exercise caution, keep your PFD handy, and let us know how you did.

10-4 on the pfd. Fall out of the boat probably a mile or so down stream before i'd make to shore!

Might consider fishing one of the best creeks on the river. Marrowbone. There is a good launch at the 61 bridge, and a 6 mile ride down stream. the ramp at burkesville is under water.

We were just talking about that creek Sunday while driving back from Dale Hollow and I asked about it last night at our DCFF meeting. Are there any smallies in there? It looks good, I have always wondered about pulling over in the roadside park and doing some wading.

I slayed the whites in there last year about this time.

I'm not going to tell you there "aint" but they have some nice spotted bass in that creek, throw in a huge striper or too, and its worth a trip. Unless you take Gary Boone with you, then be prepared to fish for ice cubes. I have caught spots, blue gills, gar, skip jacks, and trout, and while they are pushing so much water, the white bass should be stacked up in there.Walleye are also in there at times.

Lots of spotted bass, sounds good too me. I have heard that Crocus is a good spotted bass creek as well.
