To be 7 years old again

Last night my 7 year old son Josh disappeared around to the back yard. After a couple of minutes he did not come back around and I told my wife he was up to something. We walk around back and he is running and diving face first in a low spot in our back yard that hand some water standing in it. He did this for several more minutes and was covered head to toe front to back. So much so that we threw away his socks and spongebob draws and gave him a quick shower shampoo and all in the front yard with the water hose before he came in and took another shower in his bathroom. Then today he played a U-8 select soccer game at noon in the driving rain. He played the whole game with 2 assist and 2 shots on goal that hit the upright. His team won 6-2 and he loved being soaked to the gills. If life was only this easy with not a care in the world. Maybe we will hit the lottery tonight, but since I don't play could be difficult, and he will not have to worry about money ever. I wouldn't mind being 7 again with not a care in the world but would not like to go thru the rest of life again.

I just taught my 3 1/2 year old how to cast a spincast reel a couple of weekends ago. He can already throw a beetlespin about 30-35 ft.!!!! He doesn't have the greatest accuracy, but I am a very proud papa!!!!!

Also the proud father of a seven year old girl...soon to be eight in a couple weeks. I bought her her very first fly rod yesterday, 7' 4wt, and we are planning on taking it out today for some trout action. It is such a fun age, with no cares in the world! That would be nice....
