Is the Holmes bend tournment open if so would you mind to post some info

Yeah its open....they fish from 7-12pm eastern time and its either a 5 or 6 fish limit....I'm pretty sure it's a 5....Last week he said they only had 5 or 6 boats but it will grow probably starting next week due to the R&W night tournament this weekend...$30 entry fee with a shotgun start...run by really good guys just out there to have a good time....not super competitive like a lot of tournies

Not super competitive but them old guys will take your money if u make a mistake..

Yes they will....i didn't mean there wasn't competition, just meant that it wasn't cutthroat like a lot of other tournaments...it's a bunch of laid back guys having a good time

I'm sure they wouldn't mind a bit....you don't really have to contact anybody....Just show up at Holmes Bend around 6:15 or 6:30 and look for the group of bassboats...Dale Staton is the guy you'll need to see about paying and he'll give ya the rules

Thank you for the info. Sounds like a fun way to spend a Saturday night but it'll be hard to miss those dirt track races.

amen fishin_is_life on cutthroat fisherman like a lot of other tournaments..and gets worse every year a bunch of monkey see monkey do and no respect or ethics any more dog eat dog use to be a great sport and dont get me wrong i still love it and they are still some great fishermen out there that has ethics and respect just enough of cutthroat monkey see monkey do that cant fish a lick unless someone shows or tells them where and when and how run up and down the lake trying to find who ever is catching fish one day it will turn violent mark my words someone will get hurt or worse its comeing to spoil the sport anymore all they care about is a win
