No laws broken but it would devastate the population.

Yea let that happen to the Bass population and see what happens and what people think then, duck and weave!!! I just miss Havin a decent place to walleye fish around here, it was some fun stuff.

Have tried Green River lake many times over the years on the spring for walleye. Not much luck. Done decent in the tailwater late Jan through Feb.
My advice if you want good eye fishing. Head to Brookville lake in Indiana. Have caught more eyes in 2 trips this year than all the attempts on Green combined. First trip paid a guide, http://tagnobbe.com/ , well worth the money for information & Tag put us on fish right away. 1/2 hr longer drive from Louisville, but well worth the time. Make sure to drive 10 mph or less :cool after dark in Indiana. My buddy & I got pinched last trip. Didn't know the law, do now!

We used to Slay em, I mean good fish to, dad knew right where to go and we usually limited out or got close.
Funny you mentioned Brookville Lake, I used to go there ALL the time with my dad, grandparents and dads friends when I was little, we used to have a camping lot somewhere, I dont even remember the name of the place lol. I might just try that for some eyes and bring some memories back.

If the Amish are capable of carrying out their limit and enough for their kids to carry to, why can't you catch them? If they're still catching them the population isn't depleted too bad...I live right here around GRL and hear of guys who walleye fish catching their limits quick....Maybe it's not that the fish aren't there, they may have just moved from where you were used to catching them....Bass do it often, why not walleye

I had several spots to catch bass for several years,no matter when you could catch them and now you can't get a bite. The Amish didn't catch them all it's just that the fish aren't there anymore.Fish change all the time and if you don't adapt you go home empty handed. There is no shortage of walleye,or any species in green river lake!Green is in my opinion one of the best lakes in Kentucky. That being said it can also be a very tough fishery and can humble the best! You will have hot spots for awhile, enjoy while they are good to you because one day it all the sudden goes to just another dead hole. The good news is that there are new hot spots to be found.Just for the record my freezer is full of walleye caught this year, best year for several years.
