I left Lexington this morning about 8:30 to drive to London and do a service call. I get there and regular unleaded is $3.42 per gallon. It's $3.64 per gallon in Lexington. Both prices from speedway stores. How in the world is this possible? Naturally I filled up in London and by using the speedy card I paid about $3.40 per gallon.

Good gas prices are like sex: Don't know how often you get it, and don't know how long it will last.
And......you always pay at the pump.![]()
if its 3.42...im still pissed off.
I live in Russell County and find that gas prices just ~15 miles north in Casey County are typically 20 -25 cents lower. Neighboring Pulaski county can vary as much as 10 cents higher than Russell County. Got to think we are being RIPPED OFF by local gas distributor(s) who controll gas prices in their areas. Just can't believer County taxes, what every the are, would account for that great a difference!

3.38 in Glasgow this morning. Will probally go up by afternoon, getting close to weekend time to gouge the boaters. Mark seems like you hate big oil, I am with you 100% on that one, also big utilitys, big medicine, big government. Etc.
It's that way with any larger city. In Louisville, it's right about $3.56 per gallon this morning, but if you go about 10 miles south of town, it's about 20 cents less every time. Not sure if it's different suppliers or what the deal is.
Also, if you're ever on the West Ky Parkway near exit 76, the "island" travel stop charges about 10 or 15 cents more than the Marathon at the actual exit 76. Two stations within a mile of each other, and there's that big of a difference....that island stop is taking advantage of their location by charging more.
Just went down here to 3.36. Dropped two cents a gal from 7.00 am to 10.30am, and did not see a gas truck there, so this same gas in the tanks was 3.48 this past weekend and now it has dropped 12 cents since Sat? Does not make sense. Also one note Ky's gas tax increases in July, I forget how much, but a couple cents a gal.![]()

This thread doesn't prove anything BUT the fact that gas prices fall slower than they rise.......I projected 3.47/gallon 5 or 6 weeks ago..........
And here are the current prices
