My boy got up this morning and I asked him what he wanted for breakfast, to which he replied COUNTRY HAM!!!! My mother in law had given us a couple of SLABS of country ham to which my boy wanted a slab for breakfast. I got out a can of biscuits and he said he did not want them he wanted the kind that I make instead. So up goes the can an out comes the flour. He helps me make some of the flakiest buttery biscuits that I have ever made. Biscuits, Country Ham, Scrambled Eggs and Ale 8 one - THE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS!!!! Eat your heart out fellas, especially those that had a Sausage Biscuit from Micky D's on the way to work

It's not a good breakfast unless it includes some good ol' white gravy with black pepper and chunks of sausage in it.......and real eggs are made over easy, not scrambled!![]()
Elnut, that sounds GREAT and like Art says, add a little gravy and man or man!Brings back good memories of my youth and a typical farm breakfast.
Just have to keep the frequency of that kind of breakfast to an occasional treat. We know, our Doc's would not really approve.
Give me a call next time your a fixing and I'll be right there..![]()

Yesterday morning we had Elnut's Biscuits and Gravy and Fried Taters. Tomorrow morning it is Pancakes and Bacon. I like my eggs many different ways including Over Easy but also like this morning Scrambled with Heniz Ketchup, not Hunts but HEINZ
you had me until you said over easy.....i like scrambled better with gravy. I don't like the yolk and gravy mixing
Hey in order to have the complete breakfast...You got to have a couple slices of red mater cut up on top of the gravy as well.......![]()
Speaking of a good breakfast (for a great price)...every 4th saturday morning of each month Plumb Lodge #862 has an all you can eat breakfast for $5.00 dollars, from 7:30 am till 10:00 am. Eggs scrambled or made to order, sausage patties, bacon, country ham, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes, cooked apples, milk, orange juice, coffee...pretty much a full smorgasbord. If you leave hungry it's your own fault.
6919 Applegate Lane, Louisville....(in the Robinson Lodge Hall), near Smyrna Bait.
If only I could eat it all and not throw up, the perfect breakfast would be:
A couple of flaky biscuits like Grandma used to make on one side of the plate, Crisp fried taters on the other side of the plate, slabs of red ripe beefsteak tomatoes all around and all of it covered in Elnut's famous sausage gravy. The next plate has 3 country farm fresh eggs over easy with thick sliced bacon cooked until just barely crisp and pound of stone ground grits (with butter salt and sugar). The last plate is covered in white bread then layered with fried green tomatoes that are about 3/8" thick fried to a golded brown with Elnut's famous green tomatoe coating all washed down with a big Ale 8 one. Now that's breakfast.
Man I love breakfast but could not eat 3-4 plates of food. Eggs, bacon, toast and grits and I'm a happy man! Milk is a must as well.![]()
Scrambled for me, and anything that comes from a pig, Dang I love my Pig.
And they don't make another ketchup other than Heinz do they.....![]()
