Are they doing what they were elected to do? since when does 7000 over rule 53 million, of course those 7000 helped elect them, but what about majority rules. When does the good of the party supercede the good of the state. Thats easy, the majority of soviets were not communist, same thing about the national socialist party in germany.Thats tail wagging the dog to me.

I don't understand how Obama can go on TV and say we are spending way to much money so lets soak the rich. The top 1% of the income earners now pay 38 % of all taxes the top 10% pay 70% the top 50% pay 97.3% the bottom 50% pay 2.6% so lets raise the taxes on the rich they aren't paying enough and people buy it. If we do not raise the debt limit we will not default we have plenty of money coming in to pay our debt we just can not pay our debt and continue to spend money like drunken soldiers so pay our debt and cut government. Why is there a debt limit? To keep us from doing what we are doing spending to much money. Why raise the debt limit so we can keep spending to much money. Obama voted against raising the debt limit when he was a senator and justified it because he said it was a leadership failure and he was right the democratic congress was spending to much money and Bush did not veto the spending.

Please stop the spending the government waste so much money you can not tell me we need to spend more.money and we don't need to cut social security people have put their money into the system and business have matched it and government stole it.

most of the viet nam war was funded by money taken from social security.Maybe we ought to start minding our own business, and quit trying to be another british empire.Clinton had turned the corner[almost], and then it was Iraq, and afganistan, yeah the thing in afgan. was in my opinion justified, but we kicked their asses, and then decided to stay, not remembering that russia did the same thing, and got beat down.

tee party jerks? What is that all about. Are people jerks because they are tired of the way our government is not doing what they are paid to do?

    Well?

In all seriousness, we really don't want the U.S. to default on it's loans. We all have our opinions on who/what caused us to get to where we are now, my opinion is ALL politicians on BOTH sides are responsible for this mess, and Nobama was a goon to throw money around like he has (my opinion) but, shutting down the government is not something we want to do.

I already know there's still a lot of fat on the government payroll that could be cut...anywhere from salary reductions to elimination of jobs in their entirety. I still think the government needs to take a look at itself and it's own daily operations, but I guess that's not likely to happen.
