Eastern KY Fishing

Anglers,

Just wanted to give you the heads up on some fishing I and a couple of other members did this weekend. My first time out in Eastern KY (Pike Co.) this weekend and the guys taking me chose Dewey Lake in Paintsville, KY. It was a good time but wanted to let people in on the tackle we used to catch 'em. A total of 9 fish were hooked, sadly only 6 made it in the boat in just under 4 hours of fishing. Early morning all success was with a pumpkin seed Power Worm. Dark colors used all day with moderate success. Later in the day (9 am) the bite had migrated towards light (chartreuse and white) spinnerbaits. I hope this helps anyone who is in the Eastern KY area.

Not trying to be rude, just making a note that Dewey is in Prestonsburg (Floyd County not Pike) not Paintsville(Johnson County)...no biggie. Thanks for the report.
