Re: Of COURSE.......Geitner blames Bush AGAIN on FNC.

OK......so calling Moderate Republicans communist SOB's is a little strong......

    But according to this:

Moderates within the GOP tend to be, to varying degrees, fiscally conservative and socially liberal, though there are others who are socially conservative and fiscally centrist. While they often share the economic views of other Republicans - e.g., balanced budgets, lower taxes, free trade, deregulation, welfare reform - moderate Republicans differ in that they may be for some gay rights, abortion rights, gun control, environmental regulation, federal funding of education, fewer restrictions on legal immigration, and for some, more relaxed enforcement on illegal immigration, abolition of the death penalty, civil rights laws, legalization of drugs, stem cell research, anti-war policies, or any of the above. Deficit spending is a highly contentious issue, within this faction as well as outside of it. Some moderate Republicans criticize what they see as the Bush administration's military extravagance in foreign policy, or criticize its tax cuts. Others may support deficit spending, but feel it ought to be more directed towards social projects. Still other moderate Republicans are more centrist in their fiscal policies, in the tradition of Nelson Rockefeller. Concerning foreign policy, moderates may be less interventionist than neoconservatives, or place greater value on multilateral institutions. Moderate Republicans have seen their influence in the Republican party diminish significantly since the 1990s. Once commonplace throughout the country, today moderate Republicans tend to be found in elected office primarily in the Northeast and the West.

Examples of moderate Republican Governors include George Pataki, William Weld, Paul Celluci, Jodi Rell, Jon Huntsman Jr., Jim Douglas, and Donald Carcieri. Current U.S. senators include Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, Mark Kirk of Illinois, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Scott Brown of Massachusetts.

    I'm not too far off.

According to this excerpt from wikipedia.....Moderates love all kinds of things that DEMOCRATS want......fiscally responsible of most situations, but DEMOCRAT through and through on pretty much every other issue.

If the moderates of the party were gone, I think we'd have a balanced budget amendment, and this bull we're dealing with today would have NEVER occurred. You remember, it was a MODERATE that effed us in that deal.

YEA...........I take it back.......Moderate Republican are about as useful as **** on a bull.

Just call yourself a democrat that believes in some fiscal responsibility....

Actually, I don't see my views as extreme.......I view my views as REPUBLICAN.....I do have some moderate leaning ideas along with my STRONG REPUBLICAN IDEAS, but for the most part, I'm lock step a conservative republican.

You should try it some time......your KIDS and GRANDKIDS will thank you for helping save the country.

yes he did he spent money we didn't have to, make the russians spend money they didn't have to keep with us.I know you wouldn't believe it, but Clinton was the last president to leave us with an imaginary surplus. The bank bail out started with GWB,the banking lobby blew smoke up his butt with those phoney mortgage schemes. It wasn't all give away programs that led to this dilema, it was un ethical fool hardy lending. And this wasn't the first time, remember "junk bonds" that helped schemers buy companys, loot the pension plans, and sell off pieces of the companys thjey destroyed.Yeah maybe democrats condone stupid social spending, but the other guys just sleep with crooks and embezzlwers, and tax dodgers. We dont need God in our pledge of allegiance, we need ALL our schools to teach, and understand ethics.Would the CEO of Boeing go to lowes and buy a tiolet sewat for a thousand bucks? so why did he sell us one?

One Moderate Republican View..pissed off with the whole dam lot!

The TEA party movement is the best thing in politics in my lifetime. Explain to me how abiding by the constitution is misguided. We elected the TEA party candidates to control spending and shrink the massive federal government. If you can sit there and scoff at them you're no kind of Republican, you're either a Democrat in denial, or a liar.

Bottom line. The current administration along with some help from 'moderate Republicans' have spent us into a crisis. Sure, past administrations of both parties have spent recklessly, but nobody in history holds a candle to Mr. Obama and the current Democrats.

Go ahead flip me the double bird if it blows your skirt up.

I didn't put Mr. Obama in office, you did. The dipstick governor you mention has more brains and backbone than the current VP, Atty General, and the Sec of Treasury combined, plus she's far better looking than that trio of idiots.

Eatcho peas? Spare me. Did your teleprompter malfunction?

No dewvil, dont need a telepromter, you guys just spout this kool aide crap like limbaugh was the present day messiah. If what you say about the mental capacity of Gov dip stick is true, those other folks wouldn't be seen in public because they wouldn't be able to control their bodily functions. If you equate good looks with brains, well you sort of leave me speechless, and that isn't easy to do as you can gather

Then your boys must be wearing diapers. Especially Biden. Last time I saw a smile that big and evil Sigourney Weaver was trying to kill it.

Kool aid crap? Limbaugh has nothing to do with it. Read the darned constitution. Look at Europe. Look at history. What part of socialism and big government ALWAYS fails can you not get through that thick cranium?

I can't understand how common sense can elude so many people.

Re: Of COURSE.......Geitner blames Bush AGAIN on FNC.

missed you didn't it? OK look at europe, england 800 years of history, france about the same,China maybe a 1000 +, japan the same, us,250 years give or take,if you equate this in familiar terms, its like your kids telling you whats best for you.We dont own or owe the world anything. We have problems here that we cant solve, because our concentration is on trivial political bullcrap. The views on Ronald Reagan go from messiah to charlatan, somewhere in between is the truth, I cant believe all the good things said about him, because I worked and payed taxes during his tenure, I also dont believe all the crap about him being the worst we had. There are a lot of reviews of his presidency, some bad some ood, none great. He was an average president, he had unemployment issues, debt issues, scandals, so whats new?We may think we are the light of the world, but for the past 15 years we have put that light under a basket.

If this goes on long enough we'll be blaming adam and eve for the debt crisis!
