I don't know if he's electable, but MAN, he was good.....
Sorry man but I think Newt has to go! I think the only way we are going to save this country is to boot out the old dead weight, out of touch politicians. We need new blood in both parties.
Just what I think man!
I understand........completely, but Newt UNDERSTANDS how to work across the isle. And he made things happen when things "couldn't" happen, if you know what I mean.
Romney and Cain were good too, but man, I don't know.
I WANT someone who can WIN.........
Romney is starting to win me over a little. Solid basic ideas without flash and glitter. Problem is the Dem's hate his guts and if elected we'll have exactly what we have right now, a big ole mess of butting heads.
I don't think he is. He came across as an old bitter man at times. He knows the game and is very good but I just don't see him being the best choice for getting the job.
Don't get me wrong, I do like him and thought he would the best choice from the GOP in this next election but it seems like he is hell bent on doing it his way even if he has to snub the party....(don't think that's a good tactic). I see Cain and Romney gaining alot more ground using their business and private sector experience as their mantra.
Looking forward to more of these debates and discussions from the candidates.
Something wrong with him, some kind of self destructive mechanism built in. His whole campaign staff has already quit. I assume he's replaced them.
Back when he was Speaker of the House he was sleeping with someone other than his wife while he was hammering Bill Clinton about the Lewinski affair.
He is smart, and he did very well last night, but if Newt Gingrich is the Republican offering, get ready for 4 more years of Mr. Obama.
I'd vote Bachman, Cain, Romney in that order.
1). They all quit....kind of like Reagans quit too......kind of like McCains quit too. It happens. They spent the money and when he told them to STOP, they went to the press. I bet there is a LOT more to the story than we know.Something wrong with him, some kind of self destructive mechanism built in. His whole campaign staff has already quit. I assume he's replaced them.

2). We was not president of the united states..........and he didn't lie under oath. I hate the fact that he cheated on his wife, NOT in line with my values, but not the same thing that Clinton did, if you ask me.
3). He is the smartest in the field.......BAR NONE. I think Bachmann performed worse than Palin would have. I like Bachmann, but I believe she's out of her league.
4). Cain and Romney are FOR REAL.........Cain could use some polish. Perceptions are tough, and I believe he has a hard time keeping folks focused. Romney.........well.....I worry that he's got too much baggage. I'd vote for him over EVERYONE........and I will vote for him in the primary as long as Perry doesn't really blow me away, and if Newt doesn't gain enough traction to actually win.
My top dogs are............Romney followed by a close Newt. Then Perry and Cain......the maybe Bachmann.
With that said......it is still early in the season. A couple more debates and we will have an idea.
I will also say......Pawlenty is a freakin whiny crybaby. Obama in their first debate will probably go ghetto on him.....![]()
Huntsman.....in the polling on Fox last night, he didn't even carry his own state..........so yea..he also *****. Who were the others???
I will also also say........why do so many people like Paul......REALLY. I like some of his ideas........some, but getting our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan is NOT the only issue our country has to deal with. Every answer he gave last night ended up being a GET OUR TROOPS OUT mantra. Yea, our troops need to come home, but I'd much rather fight them THERE than HERE.
Later,
Geo
I would have to give last nights debate to Romney...very composed, to the point, and authoratative. I didn't care for Newt's performance....egotistical as ever, and there is something about his smirk that makes me want to beat him...not sure why?Santorum was a cry baby...yeah you are getting no time cause no one cares about you. Bachmann reminds me of Palin's sister or something...I can't take her seriously. Ron Paul is still a nut job. Cain is alright, but his lack of political experience really shows. Pawlenty tries his hardest to toot his own horn, but he comes across as the little kid saying "look at me!". Huntsman is not conservative enough for me with his history with Obama and civil marriage.

I would have to go with Bachmann. She didn't try to blow a bunch of political smoke up my a**. She back up her statements with facts and has enough experience in Washington to get things done. If you rerun the debate look watch to see how many of the candidates actually answered the questions.
Sounds as if Romney took the debate according to the talking heads. I have to agree. He was decisive and confident.
If it is based on who answered the questions, then Newt won by a landslide.....play it back......listen to what he said. Yea, he is a RINO, but he was the only one with serious bi ppartisan experience on the federal level who can get stuff done. We are kidding ourselves if we think a non politician type person can get anything accomplished. I love Cain, and would vote for him, but he would not know the POLITICS necessary to get crap done. Romney might be our best electible choice, but Newt was the best up there. Bachmann was LOST, and only wanted to win the pissing match with pawlenty, which she did.I would have to go with Bachmann. I've always liked Newt but he didn't directly answer the questions. He gave forthright answers and showed his knowledge of government. Caine is very intelligent but lacks the political savvy needed for the job. Ron Paul isgoing a little off the deep end. Pawlenty seems like too much of a wimp.If it is based on who answered the questions, then Newt won by a landslide.....play it back......listen to what he said.
