FLW Kentucky Lake

I watched the Kentucky Lake tournament last night and I thought the coverage was pretty shotty. They sure didn't show Kevin Snider very much, probably due in part because he doesn't have a nice FLW Team deal. I thought it was funny that they showed Jay Yelas (Chevy Pro) more than they showed Kevin Snider. That's the one down fall about FLW. If you don't have a team deal you get no TV time. I guess we'll see how much TV time he gets in the Pickwick Tournament. I think it airs next weekend 18th.

It comes on Versus. I think they're airing it again this Saturday or Sunday.

You guys don't remember what happened with kevin and One of the flw officials last time at ky lake? He was lapping the field and because he is not one of their boys they didn't like it. On day three kevin was fighting a fish and his line broke.He was using a crank bait. as soon as his line broke he cast another rod on the spot and caught the end of his line with the other lure. He landed the fish which weighed around five lbs. He told about his luck on stage and Bill taylor dq'd his catch 22 plus pounds because he said he couldn't prove that was his line . His co-angler told them it was the lure he had been throwing. The sad part is if they had thrown out only that fish he would have still been leading by around ten lbs.But because they D Q'ed the whole day he didn't make the cut. I remember Dave lefevre doing it on a fish with a shakey head on one show BUT he is one of their BOYS
On the final day one of their boys was on the spot kevin was fishing so he circled him and they called the water patrol and it got ugly. But the WHOLE mess began because he was winning alot of everstarts ,flw .bfl and fishing out of a BULLET ( I THINK IT WAS A BULLETT) He didn't buy into the had to own a ranger to catch a fish the flw has for a motto ,

I was really hoping that him or that boy from Cadiz would bring it home. That just goes to show you the type of "money holes" you can pull up to on Barkley and Kentucky and change the game in three casts.

The particulars came straight from one of Kevins good buddies who talked to him after he posted a 0 and lost the lead. It was posted on here I think last year or last fall about the water patrol . Go to flw and look at the standings from past events on ky lake you will see the event ,that a 0 was posted beside his name . I will try to find exactly which one it was .

If you remember even before all of that he got DQ'ed for running an "illegal boat" during competition because the coast guard tag was missing or something of that nature. The boat supposedly had a bigger engine then the boat was supposed to---according to FLW but in reality the boat was legal. I don'y remember all of the details. From the looks of things, I do not know why Kevin even fished FLW with all of these issues. Maybe he ought to look into B.A.S.S

Yes , That is what started it . He won a regional in a bullett who doesn't rate horse power in their boats over 21 foot. They just say unlimited hp. They DQ'ed him and he sued them and won. That ticked off flw and they had it in for him. The event that he got his 3rd day thrown out happened in 09 . FLW didn't go to ky lake last year. He fishes the flw I guess because of the schedule. He has done great in the ledge events. Just watched him today almost win at pickwick.....

I think he fished out of a Sprint boat back then, not 100% positve. I think the whole hp rating thing kept him from winning a BFL regional. But I believe they ended up giving him a new Ranger after it was all said and done.
