NRL 9/16/11

Finally got to NRL on Friday with the F-in-law....what a beautiful afternoon! Put in @ the dam as usual, around 2pm...water clarity good, temps in the low 70s. Shot up lake toward State park...hit coves with timber...caught several shorts on donkeys and plastics. Wasn't productive to leave primary points and head back into creeks...most fish were still around mainlake holding tight to structure. Once the sun started to dip a little, I put on the buzzbait....and it was on! 1/2 oz buzz gold blade/chartreuse skirt worked the best for me....right on the bank, bumping structure. Caught numerous shorts and five solid keepers. Biggest around 19". Nothing funner than that buzzbait bite! I've got to get back there this week!

Yeah...still here...can't get the house closed.

I think I might postpone the move till after the buzzbait bite stops...to much fun!
