I also switch over to snow skiing when it gets real cold. Makes fishing withdrawal more tolerable. Paoli and Snowshoe mostly.
I've been trying to get the crew to make a road trip to Snowshoe, but once everyone starts looking at price and the length of the drive, we always find ourselves at Paoli once again...it's the only place I've ever skied at, and would love to try something else for a change. I keep hearing good things about Perfect North, and may try it this year for a change of scenery.
Pontoons sell from May through September, Runabouts from April through September, Wakeboard Boats from May through August, but bassboats sell year round!!!!
My boat is on the water from Jan. - June. I put it up June through September while all the jet ski, wave runners and pontoons are on the water and bring it back out October through december.
Never been to perfect north yet I hear ya on the expense of Snowshoe. Perfect North doesn't have the Mid-night package like Paoli as I like to get in as many runs as I can and avoid the waiting in line. I'm usually last one on the slopes in the wee hours of the morning. You only live once so head on out to Snowshoe and enjoy yourself. There's unique shops a plenty on top the mountain. Also has a bar at the bottom of a certain slope. $5 gets you a 24 oz. can of good ol' PBRI've been trying to get the crew to make a road trip to Snowshoe, but once everyone starts looking at price and the length of the drive, we always find ourselves at Paoli once again...it's the only place I've ever skied at, and would love to try something else for a change. When there is ice on the lake. I have seen the ice sink just under the water line and if we were going fast it would of been bad..
I love skiing at night - we usually do the 5 pm to 3 am ticket. I too am usually one of the last few on the slopes. Snowshoe is definitely on the to-do list. In your opinion, which side of the mountain is the best? And there's nothing like a good ol' ice cold PBRNever been to perfect north yet I hear ya on the expense of Snowshoe. I have two seasons:
1 bow hunting for deer season
2 the rest of the year: listen to the wife and fish when I can
I do the 9pm to 3pm. Nothing like skiing down and getting right on the lift. Colder the better as it slows down the crowd.
