    Thumbs up Nolin 11/12/11

Okay, so I kinda crushed 'em yesterday. I caught between 60 and 70 fish, with 5 or 6 being keepers, and lost one 3+ lbr at the boat because she was foul hooked. Oh, and one crappie. All on square bill crankbait except one on a Shad Rap. I was about mid lake, bigger fish were on main lake. Second best day of fishing this year. At least three times I caught them on back to back casts. I didn't really figure them out until after 11:00. Most fish were between 10"-14". Almost all were largemouth, only three spots. It was really windy, hard to stay on the route you wanted. I was moving pretty fast. Burning the bait, I tore up my crankbait. It looks like I have been using it for three years, but it was a fairly new bait. Crashing it off rocks and stumps. It was awesome. 'nuff said.

Really windy was hardly the word today. In my backyard the Nolin River looked to be flowing backwards.

stepson and i went yesterday too,we caught alot of fish,i caught alot of crappie but small ones, had a few keepers, then i happened to pick up may buzzbait and the crappie fishin went to pot.then my stepson started throwing a 1\8oz buzzbait on a zebco 33,he wore me out,but he caught most of his with the buzzbait under water, couldn't pull it to keep it on top.sooo me not wanting to get my azzz showed up,i found a spinnerbait in my box..holy crap..throw it up on the bank and drag it in burning it..they eat it up,had a few 15-16" but like yours most were around 14"
had one that looked huge when it rolled on my bait but it did not hook up.i marked alot of fish in the 12-15ft rnge but we did not fish for them, was going for numbers since my stepson was there.

You know, I didn't mark hardly any on my graph. It was weird, I only saw them once or twice, and I couldn't stay on the spot long enough to hit 'em with a jig, so I stuck to a powerfishing pattern. When I got really close to the shore to retreive my plug I would mark some in 4-6 feet.
