I like Central Florida joining. During my years in Orlando I lived about 5 miles from this school. They have done well over the years and this looks like a great move for them.

Well one thing a bout it, it doesn't really make the football worse and it keeps the Big East with its AQ status. None of those teams bring anything to the table in basketball, but there are still good basketball programs left. I still expect that Louisville will end up in the Big 12 once they finish expanding.
If I had my choice and I know I don't but, I would much rather go to the ACC then the Big 12. If you look at all sports it's a no brainer. If you look at just football and basketball we would fit in great in the ACC.
Srry to say it, but it now looks like a New bigger version of CUSA...But as Pitino wants the name changed to The Big Country, cause lord only knows this conference is covering the entire country......
Yet another conference that UK or IU football wouldn't win! Football wise I think it could prove to be an upgrade. Adding two top 10 teams, one who beat the SEC East champion isn't a bad start.
Basketball it doesn't help at all, but the conference will still be strong in hoops with U of L, UConn, Cincy, Georgetown, Marquette and company.
Apparently not in my life time anyway. Never know definitely easier road than SEC for sure. Find it very humorous the way Pitino makes it out to be so great.

You can't say that for sure Tim about UK and IU not being able to win your new Conference....Anything can happen....I think as well as others would think that playing against player's in the SEC or Big 10 is much harder than playing against player's from the Big East in football.
Now basketball is another story..IU and UK would be right there at the Top in the Conference in the Big East. Do I think UK would win the Conference title every year, NO i do not...but given the way they have recruited every year for the past 3 years...That says they just might win it each year....
We ****...nuff said!
