It's an OK motel and they have electrical outlets right by your front door to charge your boat battery. Small and not real expensive but that was several years ago.

If your are going for crappie think about hiring a guide down there. There is a lot of water to cover in the Paris Landing area and Big Sandy Area.

Lots of guys fish out by the Power lines that cross the lake if it's calm. They fish the drop offs out there and the stump beds.

I have stayed there a couple times. I have no complaints. I have stayed at alot worse. Were are you going to launch? We launched at Mansard Island. About 6-7 minutes away.

Mansard Island has cabins that are OK. They are not new or anything but they are adequate IMHO. Two Bedroom cabins are nice. They have amenities like Microwave Ovens, Refrigerators, Stove and TV and AC or elelctric heaters.

But you better call them fast to get reservations as they fill up for that time of year fast. That's when everyone goes to KY lake for the crappie spawn.

I fished out of Mansard Island one in Nov. And if you go there in the spring you may want to check into hiring a crappie fishing guide to show you some good spots for that time of the year.

Tell me how you do when you get back. I'd like to know how the bass fishing is in that area.

If you were going fishing for crappie I would have some information about brush piles that you make like to have.
