    Cool Bass Club question

Hi,,My husband and I started a new Bass club this year,I registered each tournament on the KDFW web site,,,I 've been told that you now must have a ramp pass for clubs larger than 20 boats,,Does anyone know if this is true?If so how and where do you obtain them?Is this true for all ramps or is there specific ones there monitoring,,I searched there website, emailed them and have called several times,,still no answers.Any help would be appreciated and Thanks in advance!

I never heard of that and I have run a few tournaments which I listed on their site. That may be if you said you would have 100 boats or more.

No wheres near 100,,,25 boats is all,,,I've been told that its true from a couple different people,,,,Kdfw says 50 or more boats need a permit from them, but Corps of Engineers may require permits on designated ramps, but i cant find any info about it...Thanks

If you are using a Corps ramps you are suppose to have a permit for the use. If the tournament is over 50 boats there is a list of special stipulations to follow. Such as a a TX over 50 boats requires you to have a port-a-potty. I just mailed in my permit for the use of Port Oliver ramp at Barren.

There is not a cost for the permit. It pretty well just says if you tear it up, you pay for it. If you drive through the grass, you fix it. The Ranger I talked too said there is a possibilty of a "charge" being issued in the future.
