    Moonshine

Well, boys I just made some apple pie moonshine tonight. I Will let you know how it is in a couple of weeks. It smells pretty good.

By the way if you see a guy streakin' through the Taco Bell Drive Threw, it is my evil twin brother.

I'm turning you in to the cops. Oh, wait, you are a cop.

Slip across the river and let me sample some and I'll keep mum.

Not much of a drinker anyway but the few times I tried the home brewed shine I didn't take to it.

Taste like apple pie. But, it has a bite of it's own.

I took a nip last night because I ran out of mason jars and didn't want to waist any. It is pretty good. An' she bites back. Everyone I talked to that has made it says let is sit for a couple of weeks and it is even better.

When you first open a jar is when it will taste best...if you just drink a little out of that jar and let it sit for several days in the fridge, it won't taste the same later on. It's best to finish the jar pretty quick once you've opened it. That's why I prefer to put mine in a lot of little jars rather than just a few big ones.

Also, most don't realize that when you make the apple pie shine, the alcohol content goes down to about 20% or 40 proof.

    Talking Re: Moonshine

Have you watched the show on tv about the guys who have a huge moonshine still down in the woods along a creek? Those guys are as nervous as a bank robber in church.

My Grandma made small batches of moonshine in an old fashioned milk churn. Instead of using apple pie, she used wild honey and sometimes peaches or figs. When she started nipping that stuff, it made her so drunk she couldn't hit the ground with her hat. Poor thing, they said it would kill her and I guess it did; she died at the age of 93 and mom found a quart hidden under her bed and another one hidden in her closet. She called it her medicine and that's about all she ever used. lol
