Harrods, Floyd's Fork
Im right by cherokee park that has creeks running through it anybody ever looked there. And for the floryd fork is that near the park area? thanks everyone
never been able to catch a chub in a cast net, use hook and line in the fast current seems, I usually use something like a sabiki rig, most creeks in the area do hold suckers though, and craw fish, catch them in the early morning hours in creeks, or you can turn over rocks.
I see some kind of small fish in an easily accessible creek in the J-town industrial park. Do a Google map search for Grassland Drive. At the end of this street is the entrance to part of a walking trail that the City of Jeffersontown has built. There's a creek that feeds Chenoweth Run across the second bridge from the start of the trail. I couldn't tell you if they're chubs or not, but I've seen plenty of them in the creek along the trail.
I have used a saine in Ceder Creek forever and its only about 5' wide. It helps to have a partner but can be done alone (trust me). It is absolutely great for crawdads. Im not 100% what a creek chub is but I frequently catch many small schools of fish, anywhere from 2-4 inches. I use them all the time along with crawdads for fishing my pond. I can usually catch a couple dozen of either in about 10-15 minutes. I like to tear the pincers off the daddys so they dont grab on to stuff.
