Guist creek report

Anyone fished guist creek? Water temp and color? What are they biting?

I was on Guist Creek Lake on Sunday - water temp was 45 around the dam, a few degrees warmer up in some of the creeks. Water wasn't clear, but it wasn't muddy either. Had the lake all to myself. Marked some fish along drops in about 16 ft of water, but could only get a little largemouth dink to bite. Post frontal conditions are never fun.......

Was there Sunday morning as well... No luck at all. Cold and windy. Was fishing for crappie but the only bite we got was frost bite.

Was that you in the Ranger, leaving as I was just getting ready to launch?

I was in a tracker. We pulled out at about 11:30. There was one other person that had just put in when we was leaving. Couldn't tell much about the boat but they were in a blue ford pickup.

I was out there Friday morning before the huge storms hit. Tried for some crappie but only caught 4, 2 of which were keepers. Caught a couple little bass as well on crappie jigs. Casted a jig and a crankbait several times but no luck on the bass. Water wasnt muddy but wasnt clear, temps 45-48. Marked no fish but trip got cut short due to the storms. Made it home safely just as they were hitting where I live in eastern Louisville.
