I have big shoulders and can take it. But I am not going to sit by and watch 2 particular people post lie after lie and put down The Big Blue. It is ok for them to put down Kentucky, post pictures and other stuff but when it is done back to them, they can't stand it. Besides, it will take a different team than their team to beat Kentucky and no matter who it is, they will become their biggest fans. But of course that is after the game and not before.

I havent read enough of that but their team is my team. After saying that our team has a has been coach and I agree with you on that! I also agree that Cal has the cats in perfect position for a run at the championship but do remember that a few teams have something to say about that.

I have said it before, I would root for Louisville, except when they play Kentucky, after Pitino is gone. I liked Louisville before but just don't like Pitino and the things he has done in the past..

Now Tim, we've disagreed about this before. Don't think it got to the name calling stage though.

The BCS has some supposedly impartial number crunching, and has replaced the old polling system that definitely was a popularity contest. IMO it does as good a job as whoever does the seeding in the NCAA basketball tournament.

I understand your point, but the 2 best teams DID play for the CF championship, and in my mind it was decided on the field...convincingly.

At least Muschamp doesn't eat grass, and he probably even cracks a smile every now and then.

Now DH, we THINK the two best teams played for the title, but we can't be sure. I agree that the BCS is better than the old system, but it is still not a playoff system.

Funny thing though, when we all watched the punt, pass and kick contests between LSU and Alabama. all everyone talked about was who good Alabama's defense was. I agree that it was good, but maybe not as good as we thought. They only played two teams with good offenses the whole season, so its kind of hard to say how good their defense was.

Here are the offensive rankings for Alabama's opponents (pts/game):

    (Out of 120 teams):
    Kent St #114
    Penn St #110
    N Texas #76
    Arkansas #15
    Florida #71
    Vanderbilt #61
    Ole Miss #116
    Tennessee #106
    LSU #17
    Miss St #73
Georgia Southern I-AA (302 rushing yards)
    Auburn #70

Two teams in the top half of the rankings.

Well by God you're just a moron! Hold up now...just kidding.

Seriously though, few would argue LSU was supposed to be there, who do you think should've played instead of Alabama? Give me your team, and what their schedule was like.

I'd guess some, if not most of the top ranked offenses were teams who generally lack balance. Many if not most were west coast teams whose strategy is just score more points than their opponent.

I lack your knowledge and willingness to do research, but stand by my assertion the 2 all around best teams in college football played for the BCS championship. Granted the Tide won largely because LSU's QB played an awful game...but Bama's defense might've had something to do with that.

I can't find a computer based ranking system that had them ahead of Alabama.

You also won't find a computer that takes into account a terrible school tragedy that happened to the athletic department the day before their only loss!
