Don't know if any reports are go to help much. last night we had a light frost, and another one expected tonight. today, we seem to be having a pretty stiff wind, so the lake temp. may drop 4-5 degrees. TR

I had said I would be at Nolin all week and crappie/bass fishing but plans have changed slightly. I did get to fish Monday morning from 7:30-11:30 and here's a report.

Caught 8 keeper crappie on jigs in 3-10 feet but most not really relating to brush. When cleaned, all had already dumped eggs recently as evidenced by yellow tinge in belly). The major spawn is basically over and any others up there shallow are stragglers or males). Fished deeper as well but bite was slow.

Did not bass fish specifically, but caught 3 KY's around 10-12 inches and two LM's around 14-15 inches on crappie jigs and all were in less than 5 feet of water on or around wood. Talked to a guy who caught 17 bass with his grandson on spinner baits mostly that same morning in the same area.

Mid lake creeks and coves...didn't seem to matter as to how far back.
