I am not as knowledgeable about politics as most of you guys, so don't bash me to hard over what i'm about to say. I don't like what Obama has done during his term. But this Romney guy scares me. I will tell you, me and my wife struggle from week to week most of the time, we are poor. I've heard a few comments from Romney that he doesn't care about the poor and some of the other comments lead me to believe that he will take care of the upper class if elected. So who is better or worse? To me its pick your poison and wait for a slow painful death. Just my thoughts, not trying to start a argument, but I am interested in what you all think.

We survived Bush, you will survive Obama, and we will survive his successor. The pendulum has swung as far as it could to the left, now it's going to swing back to the right some... but not too far. Repubs on this board like to talk about Obama losing this election like it's a done deal, but it's not. Those of you who say things like "Charlie Manson could beat Obama right now" are just assuming that the rest of America sees things exactly like you do. I've got news for you, they don't. After all, Fox News has Romney & Obama virtually tied right now (Romney ahead 46-44%, which is within the margin of error). Romney's made a couple gaffes before; one or two more and he could blow this election.

Either way, whether it's four more years of Obama, or four years of Mitt, we'll all survive, because America is a great country.

As for the gas prices, I blame **** Cheney. He's manipulating oil prices to pay for his heart transplant

At the risk of going into the same old discussions that we have done for the last 3 years I'll say this......when you hear about Romney and not caring for anyone but wealthy folks its political crap. It's not true. Not all republicans are rich so why would he do that. Not all democrats are rich and the same goes for independents. The dems play that card just like the GOP plays the spending card of the Libs.
I do agree that both parties sukk but until we have a real third party option we have to pick between the two evils. I'll continue with GOP for this upcoming election. I am solidly against anything obuma for all the reasons I have stated including the fact that I have been lumped into being a racist because I didn't like him the first time. So now I'm gonna be a racist again. I just hope Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jermiah Wright or some community organizer doesn't read this!!!

You are exactly right Don...the left LOVES class warfare...it's their cup-of-tea. The message Romney was actually trying to deliver was that he is not for government hand-outs, but rather for a government that gets out of the way and allows people to make something of themselves. Of course there is always going to be exceptions, such as those that absolutely CAN NOT provide for themselves or their families...and that is what welfare was initially started for.
Romney clearly stated that if you want an America where people rely on the government for everything, than he is not the man for you. I say....AMEN!!! Get the government out of the bleeping way and let Americans be Americans!

Two things.... If you need assistance you take it. I have know some good folks who had to have assistance to " bridge" their way until they could get off of it. That's what it's there for.
I would vote man. Get involved in the process and have a voice. Stand for something or as the saying goes you will fall for anything. IMO the country fell into this present situation because alot of people who don't stand for nothing/anything fell for the best campaign without knowing what they were voting for.

Government assistance programs were set up for good honest people like you. There is no reason for you to suffer in need when the funds are available for you. Apply for electrical assistance because there is a special fund to help pay your power bill; same for phone bills. We all pay an extra fee on our phone and power bills, every month, to help you. It is shown on those bills. Go down and apply for a food card and financial assistance and don't slump your shoulders and hang your head when you walk into the office. Don't be a martyr so undeserving people can take what you are entitled to. May God bless and prosper you and your wife.

I really appericate the support, it means a lot. I think I will check into getting some assistance, just the call, I am unemployed. The factory I work at is cuuting back, lost some contracts and don't know how long they can keep the doors open. I had been there a little over 2 years. Dam I feel like giving up, and if it wasn't for my 2 beautiful girls I probably would.
