Social Security Checks?

I was looking forward, to walking to the mail box once a month for my Social Security Check, and just a couple years before I get to do just that. President Obama has messed with that, like he does with every thing else. Heck I like direct deposit. the last 5 yrs I worked I had my pay checks direct deposited.Of course at that time very few banks had ATMs but mine did.I actually saved a little bit of money besides what came out on my 401 k.Butwith .05 return on savings, and cola going up monthly, dem daze be gone

Consider this.....where is the outcry from the media of making all those poor innocent older americans from all walks of life now having to understand electronic payments?? I guess it's not political enough?? I know they are gonna exempt older folks over 90 for this.
I agree it makes sense to improve the system and prevent fraud. These two factors are the exact reason I think voters should provide an ID card when voting.

From the news reports I have been reading for the past few days, the USPS is going to close a lot of post offices and lay off 35,000 workers. I guess direct deposit may not be a bad idea after all. It has been eons since we have had any type of checks delivered to our mailbox. Direct deposit is just faster and safer, imo.

It's going to be interesting to see how the Postal Service handles local mail deliveries. For years it's been called 'snail mail,' I wonder what it will be called after all those layoffs and closures.

I guess if a Republican President had done this the media would spin it as more unemployment. The people who made the paper for the checks, the companies who printed the checks, the postal workers who delivered the checks, and finally the bank tellers who cashed the checks would all be looking for new jobs in the name of progress.................
