Wanted to give a report of this past weekend fishing on ky lake. My buddy and I went down by Paris Landing/ Big Sandy area for our annual fishing trip, and we caught a boatload! The fish were not in the normal spawning areas. All our fish were caught away from the main lake in about 5 or 6 feet of water. Lake is way down so the regular spawning areas didn't work.
We ended up with about 150 big bluegill, 7 Crappie that were about 15in and several 10-12in crappie. had trouble getting the catfish to leave us alone
Good luck!!

yes. they were in the creeks.
Can you still catch bluegills in the large creeks bays like the Big Bear-Malcom Creek area in the summertime on KY Lake?
Not sure about the creeks in the summer time. Never fished there after may.
Thanks, I have never been there before so I have no idea about the fishing conditions.
I was thinking of renting a cabin to take the family for a little vacation. However it will likely be during the summer if we do it and I don't want to take my children out on the main lake.
Hopefully if we are able to swing the vacation we wouldn't get skunked for an entire week.
