George,
Great pics. I spent some time on your site and was impressed with the info and pics. The Bear in the canoe From 1997 was amazing.
On this last trip...were there any issues taking the dog? I'm guessing a UTD set of shots would be required but anything else? Does anyone ever take a kayak? Maybe the canoes are better for packing gear and keeps two people teamed up? Just curious about some of the details.
Sounds like a trip I would like to take one day. I guess I would have to get my passport updated first.
Ohhhh pic 52 of the recent trip shows you holding your chest.....what was that about? I imagine there would be a funny story there.....thanks.
Nice.

* the Bear pic is from a friend.....it is not mine. I told him I'd put it on my site.
* the dog really was not a problem. this was the 3rd time we've taken him. I'm not sure what is required.
* No one in my group has taken a kayak, mostly because they are tough to portage, and cannot hold much gear.
* right on the 2 people teamed up. we used to go as groups of 2, but now we go as a complete group.
* I was grabbing my nipple........because my nephew said they could cut glass.........
* no need for a passport since this is a border lake, but there are some other things needed.
It was a FANTASTIC trip.....and I'm already planning next year and the year after. WOW.

Great photo's I guess the young man was your nephew, he had a huge smile in every photo he was in, he will have great memories for a life time what an experience.
Yea, he's my nephew.....he had a GREAT time. And that 40 inch / 17.5lb northern pike was THE BOMB.
He also had a chance on a very SERIOUS walleye, but missed it. From what I understand from my friend Bulin, then walleye was the biggest he has seen in 20 years of fishing the area.
Said it was at least 10lbs.........28-30 inches.......MONSTER.
Oh well. Maybe next time.

Very cool. It looks like a great trip.
Great pictures! That one of the guy with his dog is awesome. If that were me, I'd frame it and put it on my wall (assuming that's his dog).
For sure that is framing material! I would love to take my black lab MAXX. Just nice having a good natured disciplined dog around.
Pic 50 is my Favorite........that is my nephew. Even after 10+ hours of fishing in the cold and RAIN, he wanted to fish some more.
This was the second or third day. I was too dang DEAD to go out, so he went over to the point and was trying for some walleye.
The dog belongs to Gadgetman.....one of the guys that has been tripping with me for 20 10-15 years.
Great pics Geo, that place is breathtaking.
