So you'd rather see him play politics, even while the death toll in his state is rising. IMO attitudes like that are a big part of what's wrong with this country today.
I actually think he is always going to angle something to his advantage.....after all he is a politician and was a successful attorney before so I'm pretty convinced that everything he does is calculated.
I disagree about what's wrong with the country......my attitude didn't cause the housing bubble, racial divide, unemployment or debt to get out of control. I do my part by paying taxes, bills and child support. I gave 4 years of my life to serve this country and another year in the National Guard....heck even spent two years in ROTC because all I knew was the military. I work and support all my responsibilities and even attend church once in a while. I donate my time to other causes as well. I'm not even close to being a part of the problem, matter of fact I consider myself one of the millions who actually do the right thing everyday. We are the fabric of society that enables this country to work. We won't be rich or famous but we trudge along and hope the politicians get it right and not screw us out of our retirement, savings and healthcare and happiness. We do all we know how to do and that's to keep on keeping on.
I think I understand what you mean but playing politics is what these guys do. Why would he ever stop? Think about what he did....he just showed he isn't afraid to walk across the isle and thank the other side. He just put a feather in his cap. He could have waited until after the election and not lost a thing from the Feds...but by saying what he did when he did it shined some good light on him and left Romney a little less light to stand in. So to me he was playing politics but it helped the potus and did nothing for Romney. JMO
