I guess it does have different impacts based on the way one structures his tax deferred/pre-tax savings, or after tax investments. Most of my stuff is pretax IRA contributions in a brokerage account. So when a stock gets hot, I don't pay capitial gains.......or should I say the few that have:-)

I have IRA's and I have a 401k, but neither of those are very liquid. Most every bit of my "extra" income is tied up in securities......either through matching retirement plans, a roth, a simple IRA, or my trusty Ameritrade account.

The thing is this.......increases in gains will have a dramatic effect on lots of folks..not just millionaires and billionaires....
