Accept that the prayer was answered, based on what?

based on Faith, why even pray if you don't believe your prayer will be answered.

hey man, all I was saying was, if you pray that God let the best man for the job be elected. then believe that he will, and whoever gets elected. whither it be the one you vote for or the other guy, then tell yourself that this must be the best man. because the prayer was that God let the best man be elected.

I don't agree with a lot that Obama does, and the same goes for Romney. but Obama was my pick of the two.
and I do try to love everyone, I don't agree with a lot some folks do. but Jesus died for us all, so the least I can do is love them. hope I worded this so it makes sense for you.

I know what your saying. I can only say that Romney wasn't my choice from the beginning but he was the better of the two IMO. I still maintain that just because you pray for someing it doesn't mean you will get it. I know you have a big heart I have seen it on here. I'm not as forgiving, firmly planted in my beliefs on how free we should be from the continued additional restrictions of gubment and I guess being younger I still have more fire, piss and vinegar in me?!?!?

That's just not the way it works, waterdog. God answers every prayer, yes. Sometimes the answer is no. But there is no way to guarantee that if you pray the best man is elected, then God intervened and whoever won is the best man. That's a man-centered view of God.
