What's the date have to do with anything?? The point isn't Cabelas making a mistake or if this was fabricated...the point is that this is a tax that according to many would be passed to you. Seems kinda underhanded don't you think from the chosen one who said he wouldn't raise taxes? Now the senate dems are looking closer and finding ways to repeal parts of the law....does this mean the law is finally being read???

Thanks for the lecture, Geo. I was just responding to the content of Peter's post, where it said, "The 2.3% Medical Excise Tax that began on January 1st is supposed to be “hidden” from the consumer, but it's been brought to the public’s attention by hunting and fishing store Cabela’s who have refused to hide it and are showing it as a separate line item tax on their receipts." And I was merely pointing out that Cabela's wasn't "refusing to hide it," that was just a false RUMOR that was being passed around in that CHAIN LETTER. It had appeared on their receipts only as a result of a software glitch, and didn't even belong there, which is the TRUTH of the matter. I'm not arguing in favor of ObabaCare at all, you just took it that way, which is your typical knee-jerk reaction whenever I point out factual errors.

Putting aside the cost, and the mandates for a moment. The biggest failure of Obama Care is that is really didn't do anything to address the rising cost of health care. That is one of those countries biggest problems moving forward and Obama seem more interested in getting his "ideals" passed instead of genuine reform. The country was promised reform that was going to lower costs, and instead we got something much different.

This is just how IDIOT liberals explain it though.........tax health care to REDUCE the cost of health care.

How in the HELL does taxing the products used in health care delivery actually reduce the cost of anything.

Do you think that 2.3% will magically be absorbed by the "system".........

Need a wheelchair....fine BTW....here is an additional 2.3% ON top of what you already paid for it.
Need that o2 machine...fine, but be sure to pay an additional 2.3%.
Need some knees......fine but each one will cost you an additional 2.3%

JUST how did the cost of health care go down...PLEASE explain this new creative math to me...

    Later,

    Geo

IMHO there is nothing wrong with allowing a discussion to evolve and flow. That's how many good discussions often get started..
