They were in kayaks....that was different. One of the guy's even said bet this is the first time you've been checked by a kayaker with a fishing pole, and I had to agree. Good guy's,even ask advise on his lure of choice.Chuck

Many years ago I was fishing and saw this boat sitting out there with a guy in it and had a fishing pole hanging over the side. The guy had camo on and had his boots up on the side of the boat. Just as all of us in our boat started fishing, this guy comes straight over toward us. I knew immediately who he was. No one that I know of fishes the way this guy was. He didn't fool me and I had my license out and waiting on him when he got over to us. I say if they are going to try to fool us, they do a much better job at looking like fisherman. I would think the guys in the yaks looked like fisherman.
Chuck, Doug and I wondered where you were that day. We got to telling Doug's female friend about you and Mark and team thong vs team flannel.
I don't think Doug was feeling top notch as he wanted to leave a little early.
We left the river about 3:00 PM.
We fished the Duck Pond and caught some sauger and then floated around the deep hole in front of the lower hydros, drifting for cats.
Doug was once again King of the drum. His friend caught a small small-mouth in the pond and a 4 ft. gar. Between the three of us, Doug had some sauger to fix up when he got home.
I think I'm going to try out the upper on Wednesday.
Team Thong rules baby......
They did look like fisherman, but when they were about 20 yards away I noticed there rain gear had little yellow badges...That's when I knew something was up. I don't mind being checked,I just wish they would keep an eye out for the many people of Mexican decent down there dip netting every kind of fish to keep and giving them a free pass because they no oblae englae! Instead of checken me with hundreds of dollars of gear LOL.Many years ago I was fishing and saw this boat sitting out there with a guy in it and had a fishing pole hanging over the side. Tyme I must have just missed you guy's. I was a little late getting down, remembering that my boat licsense expired at the end of April. I got down around 2:30 and started to find bait had to go way down stream to the place I told Doug about to get it. Hit two blues in the 20ish # range And I to hit a gar around 4ft. Thought about hittin the duck pond but saw a couple boats go up that way so just did my ussual drifts. Were you in the F-150 with the big P on the front??I parked behind You. Did you guy's find bait?
